This is the fruit I have waiting patiently on the sidelines for to be painted. Persimons, peaches, figs and a celeriac [celery family root vegetable]. Personally I love painting root vegetables, they pose great challenges to find as much color as possible out of fairly dull colors to start with. Bright colored tropical fruit is of course more appealing at first glance, but give me a garlic, or onion, or potato and I'm a happy painter.

Fruit to paint 4th April 2009
